Frequently Asked Questions

  • We are! Just like your optometrist, dentist, pharmacist and some physical therapists. Doctors of chiropractic went to school and had to pass board exams in order to be licensed!

  • No! If that makes you uncomfortable we have plenty of techniques to get you where you need to be. We think movement is legitimately medicine and can work around your preferenes.

  • No. At AOM we do not operate like a “traditional chiropractor”. We want you moving pain free as soon as possible, but our method requires a good amount of work on your end. We will have a treatment plan for you that highlights when you will be done with care.

  • It depends. The goal at AOM is to keep you doing the things you enjoy. We find it’s rare that an injury should really truly immobilize someone. Let’s get creative and keep you working towards your goal.

Administrative

  • We don’t take insurance because we don’t agree with how insurance companies govern your care. We want to make sure you get the best, most efficient care there is.

  • 50% price of service if cancelled within 24 hours of appointment.

  • We’d love to chat with you if you stop in. We want to have a conversation with you first to make sure we are the right fit for you and you are the right fit for us!

  • We accept credit (VISA, Mastercard, AmEx), HSA, FSA and cash.

  • Yes of course. Our number is (404) 369-3478 or you can email us at info@aomchiro.com

Myth Busting

  • A typical chiropractor will most likely adjust the spine with some added modalities. At AOM we tailor a specific treatment plan for you that has an end date. Having the same pains come back again and again isn’t normal. We aim for permanent solutions, not temporary relief.

  • We think physical therapy is great. Unfortunately most large scale PTs tend to have generic exercises with a one-size-fits-all mentality. At AOM we make sure to spend the entirety of your visit with you, and curtail everything we do to your specific needs. No treatment plan is the same.

  • Humans are meant to move. We think they should move well and often until the moment they don’t! Movement is beautiful to us and we think people moving well is an art form! The dancer, football player, painter, power lifter, sprinter, mother, and brother all have ways in which they move. We like those differences and similarities.

  • We do the best with the following:

    1. Adults 18-64 who want to stay active, but have had pain while doing so.

    2. Weekend Warriors that put in the work during the week so they can play on the weekend.

    3. Youth - Professional athletes who have been injured and can’t seem to shake their issue.

    4. Anyone who’s on board with making movement a part of their day and seeing it as a privilege. Movement is the medicine of choice here and we think once you experience this, you’ll never go back.

  • Absolutely. Everyone moves. It just depends on how, when and where. At AOM we like all the different types of movements. That’s what makes life fun to be a part of.
